The Role:

The Apprentice/Helper Electrician works with Senior & Journeyman Electrician at BriteBox Electrical Services by providing general electrical repair and services with an emphasis on quality of work, performed efficiently and following all applicable local and national codes.  Deliver exceptional customer service at all times by treating customers with the utmost respect and attention creating a positive memory of their service experience. 

 

Earning Potential $45,000 $55,000 + per year, PLUS industry leading benefits, PTO, 6 Paid Holidays per year + get paid to take your birthday off, 401(k) with Company match and so much more!

Responsibilities

What Will I Do?

 

  • Assist Senior Technicians with troubleshooting & diagnosing electrical problems accurately & effenciently.
  • Learn how to offer written and verbal recommendations on repairs/replacements.
  • Learn customer service skills.
  • Perform repairs/replacement of electrical related items such as:
    • Light Fixtures
    • Switches /Receptacles
    • Circuit wiring
    • Breakers
    • Breaker /fuse panels
    • Electrical service metering equipment
    • Perform routine maintenance inspections
    • Access areas of the building being serviced, such as, but not limited to crawl spaces and attic areas.
  • Proficiently use tools necessary to perform necessary task, such as meters, power tools, hand tools, and ladders.
  • Communicate regularly with Senior Technicians in a friendly and efficient manner while gaining On The Job Training with the enfacous on becoming a Lead technician.
  • Performs other duties and tasks as assigned by manager

Qualifications

Do I have What it Takes?

  • Education: High School Graduate or General Education Degree (GED)         

     

    Experience: Minimum 6months to 1 yearof  experience for Apprentice/Helper Electricians with residential and/or light commercial experience.

     

    Certification/Licenses:  Valid Driver’s License in good standing, State Electrical license is a plus.        

     

    Language: Must be fluent in English

     

     

    KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES

     

    SPECIAL KSA’s SPECIFIC TO ROLE

    Advanced knowledge of methods, materials and tools used in the Electrical industry. Working knowledge of hazards and safety precautions common to Electrical industry. Ability to work evenings, weekends, on-call rotation schedule and/or holidays when needed. Possess excellent customer relations, oral/written communication, presentation, time management and planning skills. Ability to meet attendance schedule/policy with dependability and consistency.

    WORK ENVIRONMENT

    The work environment involves everyday risks or discomforts which require normal safety precautions typical of Electricians they may work in homes, offices, schools, hospitals, stores, factories, shopping malls and other locations. They often travel to several locations during a day making service calls. Electricians typically work indoors and outdoors depending upon type of service call.
